Americus Blue Tide Swim Team

Americus Blue Tide was founded in 1975 by Kirt and Theresa Myers. In their 21 years as Coaches they enjoyed outstanding success at every level. ABT swimmers currently hold or are a part of oneWorld Record, two American Club Records, and over 30 Georgia State Records. Blue Tide's Angel Myers Martino won gold medals at the '92 and '96 Olympics. Currently, the program is lead by Head Coach Tim DeMott--ASCA level 4.
ABT remains dedicated to the development of swimmers of all abilities and ages. We believe the greatest lessons and experiences our sport has to offer come through the pursuit of excellence. We emphasize the long term development of our swimmers and follow a gradual progression of training up to the elite level. You can contact Tim or Anna DeMott at (229) 924-3863 or by e-mail.
A Tradition of Excellence! Over the years, Americus Blue Tide has sent more than 20 swimmers to the National Championships. Statistically, qualifying for Nationals in swimming is slightly more difficult than being hired by an NFL team (1,500+ National qualifiers for swimming each year vs. 1,640 players on NFL rosters). We are very proud of our record and invite you to compare it to that of any other small town sports program in America!
